Education is Freedom

We have seen it with our own eyes. Children, mothers, fathers, and whole communities transformed through learning. Not just a world-class education, but investment that goes beyond the books.

Education is Freedom

We have seen it with our own eyes. Children, mothers, fathers, and whole communities transformed through learning. Not just a world-class education, but investment that goes beyond the books.

Education Changes Everything

With little or no opportunities for upward social mobility, they are taken advantage of and often forced into these scenarios:

Adolescent Marriage

Poor Indian girls are often sold into marriage and may endure severe abuse, rape, and exploitation by their husbands.1 Our school community promotes female education through college.

Child Labor

The 2011 national census reported 10 million child laborers, aged 5–14.2 Access to quality education and social support keeps these children in school, instead of the quarry.

Generational Poverty

35-60 million children are not attending school.3 Bloom India schools provide scholarships for underprivileged children to attend high-quality schools allowing them to break the cycle of poverty and provide for their families.

Sex Trafficking

It is estimated that 1 out of 4 victims of human trafficking are children.4 When you are in school, you are known. Bloom India schools provide a valuable social network for these children and families.

Social Discrimination

Bloom India schools serve many students from the lowest-castes. Education is Freedom for these families, allowing them to break the bonds of strict social codes.
